About Us

We love local. We love handcrafted. We love art, and the idea that a bunch of our neighbors here in San Diego were making beautiful, functional, handmade things from up-cycled materials.

So in the Summer of 2010, Make Good opened its doors in the South Park neighborhood of San Diego with eight local artists and a dream of bringing locally handcrafted art, jewelry, clothing and accessories to the neighborhood.

A year later we had over 80 artists, all from our city of San Diego + Tijuana (they really function as one city, you know). The store is bustling most days and evenings, new artists are joining every week, and plenty of customers—many visiting from out of the area—kept asking if we sold online.

We didn't, until now.

What you'll find here isn't all of our handmade items (not even close). But we are offering only a cross-section of what we've got in the store, and we'll be adding new items all the time. Most are one-of-a-kind. Some aren't. Some may be made once by an artist and then never again (cry). We'll be uploading, changing and revising what we sell online all the time, and we're always wanting to know more of what you're looking for. If there's something special you wish we offered, drop us an email at info@themakegood.com. There's a decent chance we've got it in the store, and can arrange to get it to you. We value good old-fashioned customer service, so just ask. If we can make it happen, we will.

And if you're in South Park, please make sure and stop by the store to say hello:
